VISION

Vulnerable communities are self-reliant & empowered to exercise their individual and collective rights

MISSION

Enhancing self-awareness & equipping living skills among vulnerable communities to become self-reliant and empowered; for them to be able to take charge of their lives

GOAL

Contribute to reducing vulnerability, marginalization, discrimination and economic exclusion in Malaysia.

Our journey toward fostering stronger communities began with the inception of Kelab Anak Muda Pekan Kundasang in 1974, an affiliate of Asia-Kelab Anak Muda Pekan Kundasang. The journey evolved with the formation of the Kelab Anak Muda Pekan Kundasang Network Malaysia (1999-2005), which dedicated itself to building resilient rural communities by focusing on poverty alleviation and empowering individuals. With a vision centered on enabling vulnerable communities to become self-sufficient and assert their collective rights, the organization, now known as Kelab Anak Muda Pekan Kundasang Malaysia, took the helm in advancing these initiatives starting in 2006. Since then, we’ve spearheaded numerous programs targeting rural women and youth, aimed at cultivating self-reliance and promoting economic sustainability.

Over the years, our mission has grown beyond meeting the immediate social needs of rural communities. Kelab Anak Muda Pekan Kundasang Malaysia is now actively contributing to the broader national goal of eradicating poverty, particularly among vulnerable populations. We are committed to continuously improving the quality of life for these communities through a variety of initiatives designed to uplift them. In essence, we provide comprehensive social protection for individuals and families in need. We believe that a nation’s true progress lies in the knowledge, skills, and capabilities of its people.

At the heart of effective community development lies the direct service approach, which focuses on addressing the issues at the grassroots level. Our efforts to empower communities are driven by problem-solving, skills training, and the sharing of essential knowledge.

Over time, we have not only grown as an organization but have also solidified our position as a leading advocate for rural community development across Malaysia. Our impact goes beyond simply uplifting vulnerable populations on a national scale. Understanding the importance of a comprehensive and far-reaching strategy, we are actively involved at the regional level in championing the rights of vulnerable communities.
